Spiritbox Studio Photography Blog

Welcome to my Photos Blog page!
These images used to be on their own web page, but I figured for a simple photo display, a blog page is probably a better way to go.

The photos here are mostly an assortment of my older favorites I've taken over the years, arranged into general categories. The little rectangular name graphic on each section used to be the 'button' to go to that page. I decided to keep them just because.

I recently added some studio work of the types of products I used to shoot as a studio photographer. The collage images give a good overall idea of the many kinds of things I've shot, from models to mannequins to all kinds of gear and products. See, not all my photos are done outside!
I have also added some of my more recent images that I have turned into computer wallpaper desktops. A little design work!
At the very end you'll find some examples of graphic design work I've done, both actual job related, and some not so serious fun ones.

All the images are from an assortment of higher end and lower end digital cameras, along with scanned film negatives and prints from 35mm SLR cameras I've used over the years.

Hope you enjoy the photographs! Don't forget to check out my regular blog page, where I keep up to date on my most recent activities.

In The Studio

This collection of images shows some of the wide variety of studio product photography I've done for years, at a online outdoor retailer.

I have grouped similar items together where possible into collages of sorts. Just in the interest of space. Otherwise it would be way too many images. But each of these was originally a single shot.

Most of these are unedited - they are as they came out of the camera. After shooting, the backgrounds and other elements were always removed, and corrections to the image needed were done in Photoshop. But I'm showing a reduced size version of the raw image as I shot them.

Desktops

Desktops! A little something to liven up the old computer screen background.

They all have variations of the same idea - a central image with a gray surround. So you don't have too much color noise on your screen, but still have a neat image in there.

There are variations in the style, somewhat from experimentation, and some from the image itself. I tried to incorporate bits of the image or color into each different design.

Sizes vary a bit, as they were made to fit different sized monitors over time.
